The Engine Shed
This website is a record in time of the work of the Engine Shed, a social enterprise established in 1990, dedicated to helping young people with learning disabilities develop the confidence and skills to take their first big step into the world of paid work. Our work combined helping people to grow and thrive in an environment where the ethos was on creating high quality fresh organic food produced through our businesses. Our food was sold to people in Edinburgh and also delivered further afield throughout Scotland. This organisation has now closed – click to view a statement giving more information.
